Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Samantha grew up advocating for Reproductive Justice and Health.  Throughout her childhood, she watched her mother teach sexual education to middle school and high school students in North Philadelphia.  Her grandmother worked in HIV prevention and advocacy and traveled to prisons, providing education on HIV/AIDS.

She moved to Metairie, Louisiana (20 minutes from New Orleans) the day after her 24th birthday and relocated to Houston in 2019 to project manage one of the Clinical Abortion Training Center locations.  During her tenure at Planned Parenthood, she developed experience with clinical quality assurance, project and program management, medical education, patient care clinical follow up, training, patient experience and team member engagement focusing on a diversity, equity and inclusion lens.

Samantha attended The Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA and is trained in French cooking.  She embraces her Colombian and Puerto Rican culture, appreciates a good latte, and resides in Houston, Texas with her dog, Charlie and cat, Hermione.
